Me, Me, Me, Me…

Blinded by desires and wants,
it’s futile to have a longing heart.
In a world where selfishness reigns, no wonder
everyone’s become cold, unsympathetic, and inhumane.
It doesn’t matter how the other feels or what the other wants.
Requests and desires fall on deaf ears as everyone
is emotionally unavailable and done.
Break my heart for what breaks yours…
Too much to plead when all they see is
me, me, me, me.
